This is not a typical version of the Cinderella story, but a celebration of that one thing in life that we all stive for... .love. Edward, Richard Gere is a highly successful businessman, who knows everything about how to manipulate the corporate world but when it comes to relationships and getting positive effects from them he fails. Edward knows Vivian current job status but that is not the reason why he invites her to his penthouse. Edward makes a business offer to Vivian. He asks her to stay with him for a week and company him as needed. Things get close for both of Vivian and Edward in a way that they never expected. Vivian teaches Edward atlooking at life in a more free and restored way. Edward brings grace, confidence and appreciation of art into Vivian's world. This is how Pretty Woman proceeds. Each starts teaching each other some of the important lessons about life and love.

Julia Roberts and Richard Genre generated the kind of heat and romantic charisma that contributes immensely to the film. One of the most important aspect of Pretty Woman is its soundtrack. Songs like “It Must Have Been Love”, “King of Wishful Thinking” and particularly “Oh, Pretty Woman”add special festures to the film. Pretty Woman is that fairy-tale that all of us women dreamed of when she was a little child.
