Guru
Guru is one of the successful bollywood movies of 2007. This Hindi film was directed by the famous directed Mani Ratnam. Guru is said to the masterpiece of Mani Ratnam. The movie is also dubbed in Tamil and Telgu. Released on January 12, 207 it was also screened in Toronto. The movie is strong for its huge star cast and powerful music given by A.R Rehman. All these things made the movie a hit. It is said that the movie is based on the life of biggest industrialist of India Dhirubhai Ambani.

The characters in the movie are very well portrayed. The story of the movie begins in a small village in Gujarat. The story is set in 1951 and its about a young man called Gurukant Desai (Abhishek Bachan). Who dreams of something big. His headmaster in the village claims that such dreams cannot become true. To fulfill his dreams he goes to Turkey and later to Mumbai with his wife (Aishwaraya Rai). In Mumbai he comes to know that the business world is very complicated and is controlled by the rich people. Despite all hurdles he starts his own company called Shakti Trading. Then success follows him and he become popular. Twist comes when Manik Das Gupta (Mithun Chakraborty) treats Gurukant as his son. In the meanwhile something happens which leads Manik along with his reporter Shyam (Madhvan) to expose Guru. This interesting plot with strong star cast and excellent music drew huge number of viewers to the movie halls.

The story was penned by Mani Rantam and screenplay was written by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The shooting of Guru was done in various locations of Mumbai, Karnataka, Melkote, Pollachi, Chennai, Madurai, etc. The lyrics for the songs are done by Gulzar. Guru is said to be one of the best works of Mani Ratnam. Guru has an inspiring story and the protagonist of the story is shown as a constant fighter. A film like Guru is hardly be sen on Indian screen. The story took its pace once Guru goes to Mumbai to star the business. The vision portrayed through the character is excellent. Abhishek Bachan's power packed performances was appreciated as he gave the best of his performances in this movie. It is said that his personality has helped him to get into the skin of the Character.

The chemistry between Abhishek Bachan and Aishwarya Rai is wonderful. Ashwarya's performances is also very excellent. All the characters in the movie have done excellently well. Guru is a perfect treat for movie buffers. It is a true family movie. The songs are superb, the background music of the movie , the locations, wonderful star cast and excellent direction make the movie best to watch and enjoy.
